The air quality meter with extra large display
In this air quality monitor, the CO2 concentration of the so-called PPM value is always clearly visible. In addition, the time and temperature can also be displayed. The high-quality non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) gas sensor has a CO2 measuring range up to 5000 ppm and gives ventilation recommendation based on the CO2 concentration in the room air. In addition, this device also measures humidity and temperature, making it ideal for larger spaces in public buildings such as schools, universities, gyms, sports halls, museums and so on.
Good ventilation of our living and working spaces is important
This air quality monitor warns you to ventilate more when air quality gets worse. The quality of the air can be read from the CO2 concentration values in ppm on the measuring instrument. In addition, you will receive ventilation instructions by corresponding color signals of the information block.
Why should I buy a CO2 meter?
A high level of CO2 in the air reduces human concentration and performance, and viruses can spread more easily. Regular and timely ventilation is recommended toto improve the indoor climate and maintain health! Humans breathe in oxygen and out carbon dioxide. If many people stay in a closed room, the oxygen content in the air decreases over time and the CO2 concentration increases. The CO2 concentration is measured and displayed in parts per million (PPM). It serves us as an indicator of how "fresh" the room air is and when we should ventilate a room with "used" air.
If the CO2 concentration is too high, this suggests that in addition to the CO2 in the air we breathe, bacteria and viruses could also accumulate, which makes their transmission to the people present more likely. In addition, ka CO2 value of more than 1500 ppm can already lead to a reduction in performance or fatigue. If the ppm value even rises to 2000 ppm, headaches, lack of concentration, increased heart rate and mild nausea can be the consequences.
Regular room ventilation can reduce the ppm value to a normal level of less than 800 ppm.
CO2 values and guidelines
Below we have compiled some general CO2 reference values:
400 - 600ppm
Normal concentration in the outside air
600 - 1,000ppm
Typical value for inhabited rooms with good ventilation.
1,000 - 1,500ppm
A Bel&/>
Ventilation of the room should be carried out.
1,500 - 2,000ppm
Complaints such as fatigue may occur - ventilation recommended!
2,000 - 5,000ppm
Complaints such as fatigue, headache, lack of concentration, increased heart rate and mild nausea may occur - ventilation is highly recommended!
